Uploading Videos with Vidmetrix

Vidmetrix's uploading system easily allows you to upload your video to Vidmetrix and have our servers syndicate that video to your video sharing accounts for you. The Vidmetrix uploader also allows our system to automatically track all of the URLs to which your video was uploaded. To use the uploader, do the following:

1. Log into your account and select the campaign to which you wish to upload the video.

2. Click on the upload tab in that campaign (it's the green arrow).

3. Click upload new video at the bottom of the page.

4. On the upload page, you will enter the meta data for the video (such as the title, description, and tags), select the video file to upload from your computer, and enter the username and password for your account on each site to which you wish to upload your video.

5. If you do not have an account on one of the sites listed and wish to create one, you can easily get to that site's sign up page by clicking the clipboard icon next to the site name. If you have forgotten your password for a site, you can click the question mark icon next to the name to go to that site's password recovery page.

6. Once your upload has begun, you can monitor it's progress by clicking the upload tab for that campaign. In the video list, you will see that video with it's status listed next to it. The possible statuses are:

a. Processing - your upload is queued and will begin in 5-10 minutes.

b. Errors - some errors occurred during your upload, these may include a bad username or password, a duplicate of your video may already exist, or the site may be experiencing server errors. If the site's servers are experiencing server errors, Vidmetrix will re-attempt your upload in about 10 minutes.

c. Complete - your video was successfully uploaded to all sites.

7. To see the details of the upload status, click on that video and you will see a list of statuses for each site and if there's an error for a given site - for example a bad log in - you can change the information right there and re-submit your video (you only have to change the erroneous information you will NOT have to re-upload it or re-enter the meta data).

8. Once your video is successfully uploaded to a given site, Vidmetrix will automatically at that copy's URL to the list of URLs to track for that video. You will begin to see the stats for your video in a few hours. If you wish to manually upload your video to other sites, you can easily add those URLs to the video using the bookmarklet or manually entering them.
